KanDarm Medical Billing Service Suggestions to Help Strengthen your Practice

KanDarm Medical Billing Service has listened to our clients. We know that it is a constant struggle to attract new patients. We have listened and listened and realize that our clients that update their marketing strategies have been more successful than our clients that do not. It is only fitting that we share with you what our successful clients have shared with us.

1) One of our clients literally grew her practice on baking cookies and taking them to all of the practices in her area. Here is what she said "we know that we cannot grow our practice without referrals, so we decided to take this route so that we can introduce ourselves to all non-competing providers in the area."

2) Another client said that he was able to build his practice by writing a newspaper column. He said that he made the column as interesting as possible so as to keep his readers coming back. He soon realized that the patients were coming to him because of his column.

3) One of our struggling family practice providers decided to accept all available insurance companies servicing his area. He said that he did not realize how much he was losing by choosing what insurance to accept and what not to accept. As a network provider you or your practice information is listed in the insurance online directory, giving new patients easy access. KanDarm Medical Billing Service agrees with him because most patients do not go to the doctor unless they have medical insurance.

4) If you have any available time, you can triple your new patients by becoming an emergency room provider in your specific area. We have one provider that is actually an emergency room provider for three separate hospitals. Most of the patients that he sees in the emergency room do not have a doctor of their own. So naturally they are asked to follow up with him when they are released.

5) This is one of KanDarm Medical Billing Service favorites. Once or twice per month, this provider holds educational classes on chronic issues that affect our communities. He does not teach the classes himself. He partners with organizations of interest that teach the classes. Think about it, if you present an educational experience to a patient such as "how to live with diabetes" what do you think will happen? When that patient is sick or are faced with any medical challenges, you would be their first option.

6) We also like the idea of having a community health fair about twice a year. Our clients told us that they think about the body as a whole when they are having these fairs. They try to include a specialist for each area, such as a chiropractor, an OBGYN, a counselor, etc. These fairs when well advertised tends to have a great turn out. A couple of our providers have told us that they strongly recommend these fairs, especially for new practices.

The above ideas are KanDarm Medical Billing Service suggestions that can be implemented with your regular marketing strategies such as the yellow pages, your local newspaper and other media advertising that you have in place.

Now that you have established your patient base. How do you keep them loyal?
